Sea Kayaking

Sea kayaking is available from Seacroft B&B on the beach. Tours leave twice daily for a duration of three hours. No previous experience is necessary. For the more experienced paddler a six hour day tour with a packed lunch can be arranged.

Royal London Wax Museum

Over forty years the Wax Museum has expanded from fifty figures and 6,000 square feet to over 12,000 square feet and an inventory of wax figures in excess of 300. The success of the Victoria operation spawned many other such museums, mainly in North America.

Our mission: "The Maritime Museum of British Columbia is committed to promoting, presenting and interpreting to the residents of British Columbia and their visitors our vibrant maritime heritage, through stimulating exhibits and dynamic educational and performing arts programs. On an ongoing basis, the museum will collect, document, preserve, store, study and display artifacts, scientific and technological specimens, works of art and archival material of maritime interest. Emily Carr House

"Welcome to the house in which Emily Carr grew up. Emily's father Richard Carr had this house built for his family in 1864. This tour includes pictures of the restored rooms and quotations from The Book Of Small by Emily Carr."

Craigdarroch Castle

"Where and what is it? Located a short drive or a leisurely walk from the downtown harbour, just off Fort Street at 1050 Joan Crescent, Victoria, BC, Canada, Craigdarroch Castle is a beautiful historic Victorian-era mansion, built in the 1890s by wealthy BC coal baron Robert Dunsmuir. It is now owned by the Craigdarroch Castle Historical Museum Society and almost totally funded by its 150,000 annual visitors."

Butchart Gardens

In 1904, the concept of The Butchart Gardens began with an effort to beautify a worked-out quarry site on the 130-acre estate of Mr. and Mrs. R.P. Butchart, pioneers in the manufacture of Portland Cement in Canada. Their endeavour became a family commitment to horticulture and hospitality spanning more than 90 years and delighting visitors from all over the world. From the exquisite Sunken Garden to the charming Rose Garden, this 50-acre show-place still maintains the gracious traditions of the past, in one of the loveliest corners in the world."
